Police hail Consett Christmas success
Operation Hartland resulted in all shoplifting incidents reported to Consett police being detected – 6 out of 6.
Reports of anti social behaviour were low and there were no licensing incidents during the hours of the extra patrols.
The community and commercial engagement with the police was excellent, and a display in the foyer of Matalan was another opportunity to get across seasonal crime prevention messages.
