Partnerships alive and well

The first week of the month is partnership week in Consett North.

That’s the Consett North Partnership and the Bridgehill, Benfieldside, Blackhill and Shotley Bridge Partnership which both cover parts of this county council division.

Amongst the things discussed have been the town centre improvement in Consett (including edging closer and closer to getting the clock re-installed, one of my New Year resolutions which has only twenty five days left of 2012 for fulfilment!) and the installation of speed visors in Blackhill.

I really value both partnerships as a way of hearing what (some) people think in a constructive environment, as well as getting to know residents who I would not know otherwise. If you’re interested drop me a line.

Owen Temple, who has been Consett North's Lib Dem Councillor since 2007, and Margaret Nealis are committed to working for local people in Consett, to make sure that their voice is heard at County Hall. As the county council takes a more and more centralised and "one-size-fits-all" approach, it is more important than ever for Consett to have campaigners who will stand up for this town.

Do you agree that a 3 hour time limit on the Albert Road Car Park is a good idea?
