Elections May 1st - Definitely maybe
Apparently the order which will enable elections to take place for the County Durham Unitary authority has not yet been made. So here we all are, councils, political parties and would-be candidates, gearing up for an election on May 1st that might never happen.
It’s all down to the Department for Communities and Local Government. So that’s alright then. It’s the one John Precott used to run so it’s bound to be competent.
